This is a pretty old question, and it really depends. Assuming that both are as invincible as marketed, then they would interact as a normal sword and halberd.
Although, this is an interesting change since it is normally a shield and sword. In that case, the sword would clearly glance off the shield and continue cutting. The fact that a halberd is capable of catching weapons makes this entire question very interesting.

When I was younger, I was all about joining and finding about as many secret organizations as I could. As I went on, I found that the great secrets were over-hyped and the actions of organizations were little different from normal groups. Thus, I don’t belong to any anymore.

Sure, there isn’t much to talk about aside from their primary trait. Bushwollies are completely incapable of contradicting any other thought. I couldn’t stand it personally, but there are plenty of ponies that would love to have yesmen kicking around.
Physically, they have very simple bone structures and can easily tuck into a ball and travel. They attempt to use this in their plans, they’re clearly not bright enough to pull it off. Aside from that, they’re really unimpressive. If anypony keeps these things around, it’s really to increase their ego.

That is difficult. Of course, most spells have room for doing unnecessary flourishes like that without causing too much harm. The actual problem is that older ponies don’t want to learn the simple things with room for experimentation, they want to go straight into the hard stuff.
However, the worst I’ve had to experience in my work was a Pegasus that insisted that he should be allowed into advanced spellcasting. He was throwing money around as if that was all he needed to train in a skill. That was the most annoying thing. We finally got him to give up after we explained the three years of study that had to go before it…
